Theology on Tap
April 16, 2008
Hey Oxygen!
Every Tuesday night @ 8pm we meet at Ol’ Factory Cafe’ in Sand City. This is where we get to discuss the difficult questions of Theology in order to know God better. With topics ranging from the nature of the Trinity to the classical Problem of Evil, Theology on Tap provides an open and non-hostile environment to explore what we believe. Come check it out, we’d love to see you there!

Community Outreach Ministry Update
April 9, 2008
FYI: Exciting Upcoming Events for Community OUTreach!
I would like each of you to be informed of our Community Outreach Ministry events, so you can share with others all the many wonderful opportunities we have here at Shoreline in which they may SERVE!
This month is loaded with wonderful events. Each ministry has special needs and if you don’t know what the ministry is, by all means please call me.
Serve Saturday: April 19, Saturday from 9:30-1:00 p.m. We will be cleaning up and pulling weeds at Lagunita Miranda Park, next to the art museum in Monterey. We will be serving lunch to our hard working crew.
Monterey Pines Convalescent Home Visit: April 19, Saturday from 9:45-11:30 Last month was great. They loved our visit and wish we could come more often. Pray for more men to attend. The guys there are hungry for men to converse with.
Women’s Shelter Visit: April 20, Sunday night 7:00 p.m. We are presently praying for a woman that can share a devotional on self-esteem.
I-HELP: April 25th, Friday night until morning right here in our kitchen. Twenty-five men will spend the night. It is an experience that leaves you with such a great feeling after you have served. They are polite men that mostly need another human being to come along side of them to share the love of Christ and let them know that we are praying for them. Our clothes drive was huge success thanks to many volunteers and the youth group pitched in too!
Rebuilding Together: May 3 (women’s transitional center at Fort Ord), 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Sanctuary Clean-up Day: May 31, 2008 Saturday Time TBD…
Our painting of the Instructional Material Center went well last month with the help of Al James and twenty+ volunteers.
Many other events are in process. I appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm for Community OUTreach. Keep those prayers a comin’
Blessings,
Debra
