This week’s question is: How is Jesus different than other teachers?

Good question: There have been many people throughout history who’ve claimed to be prophets and teachers sent from God. Some were real, like the true prophets of the Old Testament. Others were fakers, like the false prophets of the Old Testament and those who’ve started their own religions.

Jesus is special because he’s much more than just a teacher. He’s the Son of God! He is God in human form. The entire Bible is about Jesus in one way or another. That’s why Christains should have nothing to do with the writings and teachings of other religions. The Bible is all we need, and it’s all we can trust because it alone comes from God.

Human beings were designed to know God. But because of sin, humans don’t want to come to God on his terms. They want to make up their own way to live. So it’s easy to see why so many other religions have sprung up througout history. But that displeases God greatly. God’s Word is true, so stay focused right there!
