Outreach has been so busy they hardly have time to blog anymore! Here’s what’s been going on with this exciting ministry!
A couple of weeks ago, we were truly blessed to have some new volunteers help us at Shoreline Clean-Up Day. Several members of Otter Christian Fellowship, the Christian club on the CSUMB campus, joined in as we helped beautify and maintain our church grounds.
This past Sunday, a group of women visited the Women’s Crisis Center and blessed the residents there with great and encouraging conversation.
The big thing going on this week is Serve Saturday. We will be beautifying and maintaining the grounds of both the aforementioned Women’s Crisis Center and the Monterey County AIDS Project House. We will meet at 9 a.m. and finish the projects at about 2 p.m.
As the holidays are steadily approaching, Outreach becomes busier and busier! The next event we are proud to be a part of is the Halloween Family Festival here at Shoreline taking place on Friday, October 30th. We have plenty of opportunities to serve in this capacity so feel free to contact us to see how YOU can help children have a safe and fun Halloween.
Of course we are always looking for volunteers for the many projects and ministries Community Outreach is a part of. If you feel the call to serve in this community, please contact Megan Huff at mhuff@shorelinechurch.org or Deb Federico at dfederico@shorelinechurch.org.
