Outreach Update

On October 14, 2009, in Community Outreach, by CommunityOutreach

Community Outreach is staying just as busy as ever and we wanted to keep you informed.

This past weekend many helping hands blessed the properties of both the Women’s Crisis Center and the Monterey County AIDS Project by beautifying and maintaining the areas where residents live and carry out their daily activities. This was such a blessing to everyone involved and we hope to do something similar in the near future.

Convalescent-Visit0We have two on-going events happening this weekend. Our monthly visit to the Monterey Pines Convalescent Home is this Saturday, October 17th from 9:45-11:30 a.m.  Come on out and join us as we fellowship and worship with these worthy people.

Also, our second of two visits to the Women’s Crisis Center takes place this Sunday, October 18th from 7-8:30 p.m. This ministry is one that truly blesses the women involved by providing them with life skills and other important needs to help them during their time in transition.

Haloween-Family-Fetival-Signage0Later this month, on Friday, October 30th, Community Outreach will be partnering with the rest of the church to put on the Halloween Family Festival. We are proud to be a part of this event and are currently looking for enthusiastic people willing to  be Game Booth Attendants, Inflatables Attendants, Decorated Trunk or Treat Vehicles w/ candy, Ticket Booth Attendants, Volunteer Info Center, Food Service, Set Up and Clean Up. Sign up at the Halloween booth on Sunday morning for any of these positions.
