Anchor Bay Diving Deep #7

On November 4, 2009, in Children's Ministry (Anchor Bay), by Children's Ministry

This week’s question: Why was Jesus’ sacrifice better than the Old Testament sacrifices in the Temple?

You’ve probably heard the saying “out with the old and in with the new.” Well, that’s exactly what happened to the way people made sacrifices to God after Jesus came on the scene. Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection changed everything- for all time!

Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice by dying on the cross for our sins. Because he did, we no longer have to be afraid of God and worry about whether he’ll forgive us for our sins or not. All we have to do is believe in Jesus. Then when we tell God we’re sorry for our sin, he forgives us and wipes the sin away just like it never happened. And all because of Jesus!
