Roy Piña
Pastor
Roy comes to Shoreline with 14 years of children’s ministry experience. A product of Bethany College and Global University, he is also a veteran Awana commander, Rorheim Institute trainer, Certified Church Consultant, and Charter Member of The Society for Church Consulting. Roy is committed to growing healthy families through strong church-family partnerships, and providing a fun, safe atmosphere where children can grow in the grace of God. A Monterey native, Roy married his wife Barb in 1974. Roy and Barb have successfully survived the raising and launching of their three children and are adapting to the role of grandparents for Crystal Catherine and Naomi Grace, both born in 2008.

Norma Huey
Norma serves by doing general administrative work for the the children’s department. Sharing her love for Christ with children is a priority; she aims to live out Proverbs 22:6, which says, “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Norma has served in children’s ministry for 25 years. She was the director of children’s ministry at First Presbyterian Church in Hanford for 15 years, and she and her husband Alan have been teaching children’s Sunday school at Shoreline since 2006. They love every minute of their partnership in ministry. Norma grew up in sunny southern California and married Alan, who was her high school sweetheart, in 1975. They raised two fantastic sons, Lucas and Ben. Lucas is married to Christie, and Ben is married to Erika, making Norma and Alan empty nesters! They have been blessed with three adorable granddaughters, Addy, Alice, and Gwendalyn. Norma is an avid tennis player and is on the Monterey Team in Training for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, training for half marathons while raising money to find a cure. Prior to relocating to Monterey in 2005, Norma and Alan lived in Hanford, CA for 25 years. They have been at Shoreline since 2005.

Nikki Belanger
Nikki Belanger is the ministry coordinator for our three-year-old through first-grade classes. As ministry coordinator, Nikki gets to know the Sunday School volunteers, schedules them for Sunday mornings, prays for them, and keeps them connected with Pastor Roy and the rest of the Anchor Bay crew. Nikki is originally from Pennsylvania. She came to love Jesus at the age of five, and has a heart for kids everywhere to know about Jesus. She has spent a summer with Teen Mania Missions and a summer with Kingdomworks, a mission serving kids in inner-city Philadelphia. She has also worked a few years at Hackman's Bible Bookstore and Kids Co-op, Inc. in Pennsylvania. Nikki is married to Richard Belanger and they have five kids: Megan, Emily, Elisabeth, Matthew, and Amy Rae.
Ilene Cashman
Ilene coordinates all childcare for our many events at Shoreline Community Church and has for the past six years. Ilene has been attending Shoreline since they were at Pacific Grove High School. Ilene’s first love has always been children working as a Recreational Therapist with special needs children. This experience has helped at Shoreline with our new program “Dive Buddies”, a one on one program with special needs children. Ilene’s hope is to bring all children to know the Lord. Ilene has been doing volunteer work since the late 1970’s and started with volunteering with children at Shoreline 7 years ago. Ilene spent 20 years as a Radio Journalist holding a number of management positions which has helped in her position at Shoreline to find the best childcare givers possible. Ilene has one daughter Lindsey and son-in-law, Christian.

Jeanette Ligouri
Jeanette is the nursery coordinator and has attended Shoreline Community Church since 1997. She has been involved in children’s ministry for over 40 years. Growing up in Edwardsville, IL, Jeanette was involved in her church’s bus ministry as a teen, and she has continued to serve children in many capacities since then. She attended Christ for the Nations Bible Institute in Dallas, TX, where she met Vince, her husband of 30 years. Jeanette and Vince live in Carmel Valley and have five children, Christine, Natalie, Jana, Matt, and Caitlin; and three grandchildren, Debbie, Tim and Siena.
