Ben Spangler and his programming team coordinate our Sunday morning services and events at the church. Ben has worked with businesses and churches as a production and planning consultant, and has run multimedia presentations for many organizations and events. For the past 10 years, he and his family have been involved in full-time ministry. Ben and his wife Lacy have been married for 10 years, and live in Seaside with their three children, Ian, Kaiya, and Elyse.

Jonathan Ryan
Jonathan is Shoreline's worship leader, and continues to develop the creative and logistical vision for the Music Ministry. He works alongside Shoreline's talented teams of volunteer musicians, to prepare and present authentic and powerful congregational worship times, and has a passion for using music to reach people both inside and outside the church. A native of central California, Jonathan has been involved with various worship teams for over a decade. He has had the privilege of playing music throughout the country, and studied Music and Biblical Studies at Southeastern University and Liberty University. Jonathan is currently working on his M.A. in Theological Studies, and his continued goal is to help people of all ages and background connect with God through relevant expressions of art and music. In his spare time, he loves cooking, painting, and songwriting. Jonathan lives in Monterey with his wife Bethany.

John Wineglass
As music director, John Wineglass works with the worship leader to bring glory to God through music throughout the church. A native Washingtonian, John Wineglass has performed in several orchestras and chamber ensembles both in the U.S. and abroad, performing his first viola concerto with the DC Youth Orchestra in 1984 at 11 years old. John has achieved numerous music accreditations, as well as three Emmy® Awards with seven nominations to date, and he has performed with many Grammy®-Award winning artists. His musical prowess and his passion for music have afforded him opportunities to perform on five continents and before every president since Ronald Reagan. John is a graduate of The American University (B.M.) and holds a master's degree in Music Composition from New York University, studying with Justin Dello-Joio of the Julliard School. John coordinates our worship sets as well, and you will catch him onstage most Sunday mornings playing the keyboard, organ, violin, and occasionally even the accordion. His wife Denise is also a talented worship musician. John and Denise live on the Peninsula with their daughter Abbey.

Shannon Hugo
Shannon Hugo is the communications director in graphic and web design. She and her team design the sermon series graphics, maintain the website and coordinate all the publicity for the church, internally and externally. She graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 2007 with a degree in graphic design and youth ministry. Shannon has been working at Shoreline since graduation, volunteering both in our high school ministry and on our full time staff. Her passion for the arts and the church continues to grow as she learns more about God’s characteristics. Shannon grew up in the Monterey area, but she spent some time in both Sacramento and New York during college, studying at New York Center for Art and Media Studies (NYCAMS). She has been on several mission trips to other countries, including Mexico, Nicaragua, and Japan. Shannon and her husband Thomas live in their beautiful house in Salinas, working and enjoying life together with their friends and family.

Ben Huey
As technical director, Ben is in charge of maintaining the technical worship systems for the facility, as well as leading the teams that operate the sound, broadcast, lighting and video production. He has been working in church audio since 1996, and he started recording in 2000. In 2004 Ben gained a formal education in audio sciences from The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences, a school specializing in recording and live sound technologies. Following school, Ben worked at The Plant Recording Studios in Sausalito, Ca. Since coming on staff, Ben has moved from the position of audio engineer to that of technical director. He oversees the production aspects of Shoreline: sound, video, and lighting. Ben and his wife of seven years Erika live in Salinas with their three children, Alice (4) Gwendalyn (2),and Friedrich (newb).

Erika Huey
Erika is a special projects coordinator for the production department. She is responsible for changing stage sets and for administering various projects throughout the church. Erika is a current graduate from California State University, Monterey Bay, where she graduated with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. She is currently living in Salinas with Ben, her husband since 2003, their two daughters Alice, Gwen and new son Freddie.

Janice Perl
For the past three years, Janice has served as director for the choir, which sings during worship every five to six weeks. Janice also leads worship for women's ministries, and sings on the worship team. Simultaneously, she has been the performing arts and vocal music director for Trinity High, MBCS Middle, and in the past, Walter Colton Middle. Prior to these positions, she founded the performing arts ministry called "Higher Vision" for the youth at Calvary Monterey, and before that, she was the worship leader for Crossroads Christian Church. She was the lead singer in an evangelistic pop/rock band called "Janice Perl and the Regenerate," and she was also in a Christian vocal band called "Rhythm n Jesus." Janice's wonderful husband of 25 years, Jacob, is a musician, sound engineer, photographer, and web designer. The couple has a beautiful 14-year-old daughter Miranda, who loves to sing and act, and a Puggle named Bubba who is an expert at being cute!

Bobbie Wedlake
Bobbie is part of the programming team as a director for our Celebration Worship Services and special events. She brings years of experience in full time ministry to Shoreline, along with a heart to help the staff and volunteers serve “successfully,” and a desire for all to have a deeper worship experience. Bobbie has shared God’s amazing love in churches and retreats in the US. She has also participated in missions to Russia, Scotland, and the Romi (gypsy) communities in Bulgaria. She is married to a long time Shoreline attender, Joe, and has three wonderful sons: John, Ethan, and David, who is married to Lily.
