Dewey brings to the platform over twenty-five years of ministry experience. Often referred to as the “youth pastor’s youth pastor,” Dewey has enjoyed a robust ministry to young people, their families, and youth workers throughout North America. Having published six books and spoken at hundreds of conferences throughout North America, he is sure to instruct, inspire, and fire our imaginations as to the practicalities of God’s Word and its application to every day life.

Each member of the band carries a different story to tell about how the Grace of God has rescued them from failure and despair. They all serve in different ministries within the body of Christ besides just in music and all have normal full time jobs.  Bryan is actually a middle school algebra teacher (now, don’t get sick students) and track coach and loves working with youth of all walks of life.

The years camp theme is…

Have you ever wondered what the world looks like from God’s perspective?

The truth of the matter is; God does not see things from the same perspective as we do.
Isaiah 55:8 says “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. The Scriptures are full of things that are completely opposite of what comes naturally to us;

Whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant; and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be slave of all. Mark 10:43-44

Whoever seeks to keep his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it. Luke 17:33

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong. 1 Corinthians 1:27

When Job questioned God about why things seemed so upside down, God answered a question with a question;“Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?”

This summer we’ll explore the amazing statements in the Bible that seem to be completely upside down. We’ll seek to answer, from Scripture, the nagging questions about why God allows things to go on and how it is that He’s really at work constantly all around us, even when life seems out of control. Then we’ll provide students with the tools they need to “turn the world upside down” (Acts 17:6) the way great men and women of faith have done, through the power of God, for over two millennia.

The Goal…trade the toothpick for something BIGGER or Better. And then take that new item, and trade it for something BIGGER or Better.
