We are meeting at Habaneros once again this week, the address is at the bottom of the message in case you haven’t been there yet. We are going to continue in our study of 1 & 2 Timothy for the next two weeks, so I think it would be beneficial to do some reading out of these books. One very interesting section from 2 Timothy is found in chapter 3, where Paul informs Timothy of the use and nature of scripture. To get a sense of what he says, read through these verses in Timothy and some others:

Andrew is going to be leading the discussion this week following what we are talking about in the main service, prayer. Here are some of the passages we will be looking at:

After reading through each of these passages we will be talking about how prayer is presented and how it relates to our own prayer lives. As you get ready to talk about this topic, think about the various ways that you were taught to pray and some other ways that you have seen people pray. Last week we didn’t really get to the Bible verses we wanted to talk about, because we were talking about where we are going as a group and some options for the future of Tuesday nights. So, we are going to continue with what I had on here for last week, with some minor changes.

One thing that I would really like to talk about is how we deal with conflict resolution in the church. This idea is not something that is optional, and not something to be ignored because it is uncomfortable for most people to have confrontation. This verse talks about how this is supposed to be done in a Christ-like manner, and I think is very important to talk about. Hope to see you there tomorrow!

This Tuesday night (tomorrow), we are going to be making Sushi and hanging out at the Vevoda’s house. We are just going to each bring an ingredient or two and then make a bunch of different rolls. Please look at the list below so that you can figure out what to bring, but please let me know if you are going to pick something up so that we don’t buy too much of one thing or miss anything. They live out in San Benancio off of the 68, and it is a little bit difficult to get to their house, so I will give you detailed instructions. If you are coming from either direction on the 68, either from Monterey or Salinas, you are going to turn on San Benancio Rd. Next you will go a little less than a mile and turn left on Harper Canyon Rd. The turn in for this road is just after you come down a sudden decline on the road, so look out for it. You will then drive a little ways down that road and take another left on Rimrock Canyon Rd., and there will be a big sign that says Rimrock at the turn in. From there you will go up a fairly steep incline and their house will be on the right after a couple speed bumps. If you have any questions on the way there give me a call at (616) 862-5041.
