MuteMath – Give it a listen

On July 27, 2010, in Oxygen (Young Adults), Students, by Andrew

It’s amazing how itunes makes so many things involving out music so easy. The sad thing for me is that one things itunes has made easy is forgetting great bands. With over 100 gigs of music it’s easy to loose track of a great album or even a band in the mix. As I sat down last night to put together a post on a new band I ended up spending over an hour listening to one of the bands that slipped off my play list in the last year. MuteMath’s Armistice was for much time a quick play of choice for a total album play through. So many albums have songs you just have to skip. Even several of my favorite albums have songs I just don’t like. Armistice is just an album you can play straight through over and over. As I write this I’m four songs into my second play through of the afternoon. So if your looking for a new band to give a try or just want to take a listen to a band I enjoy then check out mutemath.

Middle School Day Hike

On July 26, 2010, in Middle School - EXIT, Students, by Andrew

This thursday be at the church at 9am for a day trip to Big Sur. We will be going on a short hike and spending time at the beach on the way home. Make sure to pack a sack lunch for your self and bring a bottle of water for the trail. Sunblock is always recommended as a sun burn is not a great reminder of a fun day. This will be a great time of exploring Gods creation and looking at several Psalms speaking of the beautiful world God has given us. Please call Pastor Andrew at 831-512-6687 for more information.

Meet at the church at 9am and we will return between 3:30 -4.

Bring a sack lunch and a bottle of water.

Heading to Del Monte

On July 20, 2010, in Middle School - EXIT, Students, by Andrew

This thursday the exit crew will be hanging out at Del Monte Center. We know that many of you spend your afternoons walking around the mall so lets hang out. We will be meeting at the starbucks and spending time walking around grabbing a bite to eat and some may even catch a movie. If you would like to go to the movie make sure to bring $10 as the movie is 3D and their a couple bucks more then average. The movie option is Despicable Me. If you want to check out the movie I have inserted a link at the end of the post. Our time at the mall will be pretty chill with most of our time spent talking, walking, eating, or watching the movie. So come out this thursday at noon to hang out with your friends from exit.

Next week we will be spending the afternoon on a short day hike. More details coming soon.

Middle School Missions Trip Update #2

On July 7, 2010, in Middle School - EXIT, Students, by Andrew

Day two is going great and we have had many more kids joining us for the bible clubs. It’s been great to watch the kids pour into the park to come hear the word of God. Our students are doing an amazing job. Please keep us in prayer as we continue to be out in the heat mot of the day. Later today a family from the church will be making a huge meal for us that we will follow with a late night swim. Everything is going great and feels it feels like the time is flying by!

Will post more info soon.
