Trust in God when you are in the Land Between!

WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEKEND:

  • I-Help, Friday, July 22nd 4-8:30 p.m. & Saturday, July 23rd 6-9 a.m.
    We will be hosting the men of I-Help, providing them with food, a place to sleep, and sharing the words of Jesus. Let’s pray for these men to find the path that God has for them.
  • Cypress Ridge Care Center Visit (formerly Monterey Pines) Saturday, July 23rd 9:45 – 11:30 a.m.
    Due to a schedule change we were unable to visit with Cypress Ridge last weekend. So come join us this weekend as we share love and fellowship with the residents. Let’s touch their hearts with the light of God. Meet in the parking lot.

FOOD DONATIONS
Thank you
to the kids from VBS (Vacation Bible School) for all their food donations for the Food Pantry. It is wonderful to see you give from your heart at such a young age! If you would like to donate also, the Food Pantry can use these items: dried beans and rice, peanut butter, soup, canned vegetables, canned fruits, canned chicken, beef stew, canned tuna, pasta and pasta sauce, dry cereal and oatmeal.

WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS MONTH:

  • Pasta with the Pastors (Monterey), Saturday, July 23rd 5-7 p.m.
    The 19th Annual Benefit for I-Help
    will be held at San Carlos Cathedral Hall, 500 Church St. This is an all you can eat event with silent auction. Our local clergy will serve the meals. Tickets are on sale at the Community Outreach Booth or at the door, $12 for adults and $5 for children under 10 yrs.

WHAT’S HAPPENING NEXT MONTH:

  • Global Leadership Summit, Thursday, August 11th- Friday, August 12th
    Check the Website for info on this incredible event. General prices you will see on the Summit website are higher than Shoreline’s special rate of $129. Ask about registering for special (even lower) military and student/teacher rates.
  • Pasta with the Pastors (Salinas), Saturday, August 27th, 5-7 p.m.

    We are so grateful to each of you for taking time to help the women at Hamilton House to better their lives and situation. A special thank you to Lisa Jefferson for her presentation on Team Building! God still has us touching their hearts with His love.

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:

  • I-Help, Friday, June 24th and Saturday, June 25th
    We are grateful to those of you that helped to welcome the I-Help men into the Lord’s House. Visiting with them, sharing Jesus Christ with them, letting them see the light of God in us, will bring them hope in their lives. Thank you for giving of your time and heart!

FOOD DONATIONS
“Thank You” to those of you that have so generously donated to the Food Pantry, you have helped feed many families in need! If you can donate, our needs are: dried beans and rice, peanut butter, soup, canned vegetables, canned fruits, canned chicken, beef stew, canned tuna, pasta and pasta sauce.

WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEKEND:

  • Monterey Pines Visit, Saturday, July 2nd, 9:45 – 11:30 a.m.
    Come give your words, hearts and ears to the residents. Although we like to talk to them about Jesus, they too like to talk and if we really listen we might learn something from them. The residents are special with interesting stories of their own.
  • Women’s Shelter Visit, Sunday July 3rd
    This Sunday the Women’s Shelter Visit will be postponed due to the Holiday Weekend so that everyone can spend time with their families and love ones.

WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS MONTH:

  • Annual Backpack and School Supplies Assembly, Saturday, July 9th  9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
    PLEASE SIGN UP AT THE COMMUNITY OUTREACH BOOTH, to help Pastor Andrew Manies stuff the backpacks with all the donated supplies. We will meet  in the Fellowship Center at Shoreline (lunch will be provided). Come join us and be a part of finalizing this great service project!

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:

  • Monterey Pines and Windsor Care Visits, Saturday, June 18th
    Loving on the residents is so special and so are those of you that visited this last Saturday! It does take a special person to care for the residents the way all of you do. Thank you for ministering with your hearts.
  • Women’s Shelter Visit, Sunday, June 19th
    Thank you to Annah Muiruri for her presentation about “What’s Holding You Back From Accomplishing Your Goals?”
    Thank you also to everyone else who was there encouraging the women to reach for and obtain their goals. God pushes us to go out of our comfort zone with great rewards. We appreciate the time that you give these women!
  • “Get on the Bus”, Saturday, June 18th
    We are thankful to everyone who donated to the “Get on the Bus” project.
    A special thank you to Lisa Pray for the fantastic job she did as the coordinator!

Challenge: Go out and organically outreach to one person this week!

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:

  • Organic Outreach Training
    Pastor Kevin and Pastor Tom gave an incredible class on reaching out to people organically. Sharing the word of Jesus should not be difficult for us and both Pastor Kevin and Pastor Tom gave us some wonderful ideas of how to share our faith with others. So let’s go out and practice what we have learned!

Although you have already helped us serve so many people in need, our Food Pantry is low.     Come hear Annah Muiruri as she gives a DVD presentation (narrated by Jensen Franklin) about “What’s Holding You Back From Accomplishing Your Goals?” Help to give these women the encouragement they so need in their lives. Hope you can make it!

WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS MONTH:

  • Annual Backpack and School Supplies Drive, Thru June
    As the drive continues we are still in need. Economic times are hard so if you can donate some #2 pencils or pens that would be great, every little bit helps! Please place your donated items in the barrels. Thank you to all of you who have already donated.
  • “Get on the Bus”, Saturday, June 18th
    We will be sponsoring a bus of children that will be going to Soledad Prison to visit their Dad’s for Father’s Day. We want to thank Lisa Pray for the incredible job she did on this project and to the Ministries and their leaders for supplying the items for the “stay connected bags”:

WHAT’S HAPPENING NEXT MONTH:

  • Annual Backpack and School Supplies Assembly, Saturday, July 9th 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
    Pastor Andrew Manies is organizing a group of people who will be stuffing the backpacks with all the donated supplies. We will meet in the Fellowship Center at Shoreline (lunch will be provided). Come join us and be a part of finalizing this great service project!

Organic Outreach Conference – Thursday, November 10th – Saturday, November, 12th
