Challenge: Go out and organically outreach to one person this week!

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:

  • Organic Outreach Training
Pastor Kevin and Pastor Tom gave an incredible class on reaching out to people organically. Sharing the word of Jesus should not be difficult for us and both Pastor Kevin and Pastor Tom gave us some wonderful ideas of how to share our faith with others. So let’s go out and practice what we have learned!

FOOD DONATIONS
Although you have already helped us serve so many people in need, our Food Pantry is low. If you can donate, our needs are: dried beans and rice, peanut butter, soup, canned vegetables, canned fruits , canned chicken, beef stew, canned tuna, pasta and pasta sauce. To those of you who have already donated food, we so appreciate it, thank you!

WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEKEND:

  • Monterey Pines and Windsor Care Visits, Saturday, June 18th
Join us, as we love on the residents at Monterey Pines and Windsor Care this Saturday! Our visits are always so special to them and it is our chance to share Jesus Christ with them. Please meet at Monterey Pines and Abraham Wilson will give instructions to those of you that want to go to Windsor Care.
  • Women’s Shelter Visit, Sunday, June 19th
Come hear Annah Muiruri as she gives a DVD presentation (narrated by Jensen Franklin) about “What’s Holding You Back From Accomplishing Your Goals?” Help to give these women the encouragement they so need in their lives. Hope you can make it!

WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS MONTH:

  • Annual Backpack and School Supplies Drive, Thru June
As the drive continues we are still in need. Economic times are hard so if you can donate some #2 pencils or pens that would be great, every little bit helps! Please place your donated items in the barrels. Thank you to all of you who have already donated.
  • “Get on the Bus”, Saturday, June 18th
We will be sponsoring a bus of children that will be going to Soledad Prison to visit their Dad’s for Father’s Day. We want to thank Lisa Pray for the incredible job she did on this project and to the Ministries and their leaders for supplying the items for the “stay connected bags”:
    Children’s – Pastor Roy Pina         Women’s – Karen Hughes
Men’s – Pastor Keith Krueger        High School – Pastor Nate Tibbs
Greeter’s – Sharon Burwell             Benevolence & Hope- Debra Federico
Young Adults – Zach Harney         Celebrate Recovery – Pastor Dennis McFadden

Middle School – Pastor Andrew Manies & Danny Killough

WHAT’S HAPPENING NEXT MONTH:

  • Annual Backpack and School Supplies Assembly, Saturday, July 9th 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Pastor Andrew Manies is organizing a group of people who will be stuffing the backpacks with all the donated supplies. We will meet in the Fellowship Center at Shoreline (lunch will be provided). Come join us and be a part of finalizing this great service project!

Just this past Thursday at Celebrate Recovery, Lisa Pray shared her powerful testimony! Many people were touched by her story and were reminded of God’s amazing love for us and His great power in our lives. Celebrate Recovery is a wonderful place to share what God has done in your own life. If you have been sober for at least one year and would like the opportunity to share your testimony at Celebrate Recovery, please email us at recovery@shorelinechurch.org.

“Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men.” – Ephesians 6:7

Please sign up or talk to the Recovery Leadership Team if you want to serve the Lord as well as your brothers and sisters in Christ. If you feel that you are gifted in any of the following areas and would like to serve in any of the following, we would love to talk with you:

-information table set-up
-greeting
