Having fun at Fall Frenzy

On November 6, 2010, in Middle School - EXIT, by Andrew

The group up at Mt. Hermon is having a great time. This is our second year at fall frenzy and and the kids are having such a great time that I’m sure we will be back again. The guys are off Kayaking and the girls are spending their afternoon doing crafts and playing volleyball. The kids have loved the speaker and look forward to hearing from him again tonight and tomorrow morning before they make their way back home. Check out the pics below for a look at what the girls have been doing today.

Costume Movie Night Pics – Exit

On October 31, 2010, in Middle School - EXIT, by Andrew

The Costume Movie Night was great! This was our third annual Costume Movie Night and our biggest Halloween ever so far. The costume contest was amazing this year with over 80 competing for first prize. After the movie we had our costume dance party and the room went crazy. This was by far one of the most exciting events of our year. This tradition is sure to continue and grow in the coming years. Check out the pics below to catch a glimpse of the fun.

Exit middle school Sundays – The Bible on ghosts and spirits.

On October 26, 2010, in Middle School - EXIT, Students, by Andrew

I remember clearly being introduced to the idea of the paranormal. It wasn’t a scary movie late at night or stories told by a camp fire. It was saturday morning cartoons with Casper the friendly Ghost. So the fear level started pretty low for me.  For many of us the idea of Ghosts and evil spirits is simply something we write off as fairy tales. For others they are stories that must be true because Grandma’s Grandma wouldn’t have lied, it just wasn’t done back then. Thinking about these matters comes up now and then through media like books, movies, tv and more. So seeing as this year Halloween falls right on a Sunday what better time could we choose then now to look at what the Bible says about ghosts and evil spirits. Hmm and maybe have some post breakfast candy! Make sure your student is here this Sunday for Exit middle school group at 10am during Shorelines second service. We are going to take a real look at this important topic but trust me the amount of candy your kids will have will be scarier to you then the passages we will be studying. Through this time we will focus on the power of Christ over all good and evil.

Does God Really Care? – exit middle school series

On October 4, 2010, in Middle School - EXIT, Students, by Andrew

Does God really care? Most of us have wondered this question in some form throughout our lives. Maybe it’s been a time of decision or a moment of confusion. Perhaps you have faced something that just seemed to fall into a gray area. In our new series “Does God Really Care” we will be facing some of these moments and decisions that most middle school students are facing or will face soon. Make sure to be here each week as we look at questions like…

Does God really care about you as a person?

Does God really  care about who we like or date?

Does God really care about what music we listen to?

Does God really care about our friendships?

Make sure to not miss a week because God really does care if you are there!
