Determination Week 3

On January 20, 2013, in Children's Ministry (Anchor Bay), by Children's Ministry

During week three of Determination, we learned that we should “Be the one who sticks by someone in need.” This week we looked at the book of Ruth as she shows determination to stick with Naomi, even though it meant moving to a totally new country!

Take a look at our new Parent Cue and God Time Cards for this week. They can be helpful for going deeper and for encouraging a daily quiet time for your kid.

The Parent Cue is also available on iPhone and Android devices. Search for the Parent Cue App by Rethink group to have these resources as close as your cell phone, computer, or iPad.

Determination Week 2

On January 13, 2013, in Children's Ministry (Anchor Bay), by Children's Ministry

As we completed week two of our theme of Determination—deciding it’s worth it to finish what you’ve started—we learned that we should “Be the one who does what God says because he’s AWE-some.” This week we learned about Moses and the burning bush (Exodus 3:1-15) and how Moses chose to listen to what God said, even though he didn’t feel like he was a good speaker, he was nervous about returning to Egypt, and he was nervous about asking Pharaoh to “let His people go.” But Moses still did what God asked him to do.
