The Story Parent’s Page

This is week one of the all-church study of The Story. We are looking forward to an amazing 31-week journey through the word of God. There will be one Parent Page to help you interact with your entire family around each week’s Bible story. The parent’s page will provide: “Table Talk questions adaptable to all ages; “Living the Faith” activity; and lastly, the “Extra Mile” activity for those families who still crave more learning activities around the week’s Bible Story. Please click the link below for this week’s Parent’s Page. The newest page will be available Sunday afternoon.

Come Help With Angel Tree!

On December 12, 2011, in Community Outreach, High School Ministry, Middle School - EXIT, Students, by Andrew

ANGEL TREE

Angel Tree is the only national ministry to reach out to the children of incarcerated parents. With your help, we can touch the hearts of hurting children at Christmas and transform lives through the power of Jesus Christ!

Did you know that:
• One in three prisoners is a parent
• About 75% of women in prison are mothers
• 1 in every 43 children has a parent in prison
• More than 1.7 million children will spend Christmas separated from their mom or dad

Let’s do our part to bring some joy into the lives of these children at Christmas. Come to Shoreline this saturday morning to learn about how you can help with gift distribution. After a short training you and your family will be asigned several gifts to drop off to children around the Monterey area. Take part in blessing others this Christmas season through sharing love with Angel Tree.

Thank you for giving with your heart!

Middle School Missions Trip Update 2

On July 25, 2011, in Middle School - EXIT, Students, by Andrew

Well the sun is going down and were just rolling into Corvallis. It’s been a great drive through the beautiful mountains of northern Ca and Or. The students are doing great and have had a wonderful day of touring the restrooms of generous I5 McDonalds, Chevrons, and 7 11′s. If ever heading this was I would highly recommend the Shell Station of Weed, Ca. It might not smell great, but the owner will greet you with a smile from his wheel chair and offer you prayer for your travels. It’s such a blessing to be reminded that where ever we go we have family in Christ.
Please pray that tonight can bring well needed rest so that we can hit the ground running in the morning.

Side note..
Why is this suddenly safe once you’re in Oregon?
