Hide Night was GREAT!

On May 26, 2010, in Middle School - EXIT, Students, by Andrew

Last friday night the middle school group had our first ever full church campus game of hide and seek. We used almost the entire church building and the whole grounds from the street to the woods at the bottom of the parking lot. We when planned this event we had no idea what the turn out would be like. Well it ended up being one of our largest events so far this year and one of the largest middle school events Shoreline has ever had. At 8pm students started arriving and by start time at 8:30 there were already 135 students. All together there were close to 160 in attendance. The large group made for some crazy games of hide and seek. When there are that many people looking for you, you will be found. Our last round proved that with our leaders hiding and the students trying to find us. Danny Killough even had a full on camo netting suit and was deep in the grass and brush but when 150 kids and trying to find you there’s no where to hide.

Thanks to all the volunteers and parents that helped make this and so many other events possible. What a great way to kick off the summer!

Oxygen tuesday night group PARTY!

On May 20, 2010, in Oxygen (Young Adults), Students, by Andrew

This tuesday night will be our last meeting until the fall so make sure to come out for a good time. We will be having a hang out night out at Thomas and Shannon Hugo’s house. Feel free to bring some food or drink to share or even a board game and music. We will just be hanging out and having fun so this is a great night to bring a friend for a low key way to meet other people from Oxygen. Also Pastor Andrew will be talking about several events possibilities for this summer including a camping trip, theme park, road trip, and a few concerts. Tuesday nights have been a blast this last year with everything from in depth theological conversation to bowling. Come with your thoughts on what next year should look like to help shape the night for you and those who will join. Hope to see you all there!
