Just wanted to let you guys know about the new Facebook group that a couple of our very own students started and are managing (with Stephen’s help, of course). This is a perfect place to get plugged into what is happening in C3 on a weekly basis. Not to mention the daily devotions we will be starting soon.
Also, if you are one of the first 100 people to join the group, Stephen will write you a personalized poem on your Facebook wall.

We will be heading to the Monterey County Fair on Thursday, September 5th in place of Crave. We will meet at the church at 5 pm to shuttle you (and your friends) over to the Fairgrounds. We have been blessed to receive FREE admissions tickets for all who wish to attend. If you plan on riding any of the attractions or eating, please bring money for either or both. We will start shuttling back to the church at 9 o’clock.

This will be a fun time of hanging out and spending time with your classmates. Bring a friend and come have some fun!

This Saturday C3 will be heading out to Sacramento, California to float down the American River. We are leaving at 9am and returning that evening at around 9pm. The cost is $30, which covers gas and the rental of the rafts. The section of the river we float down is very calm with some minor rapids. It is a fun, relaxing time to get some sun and swim around.

We just finished wrapping things up for the week here at Hume Lake. Tonight we went out to victory circle where many students shared about things that they have learned or decisions they have made. It was wonderful to see the many students that had made first time commitments to Christ stand up and share about their new relationship with God. The night ends with the guys and girls having separate times of challenge from the lead counselors and the speaker. This week has been one of my favorite weeks I have ever had up here at Hume. Im keeping this short as it’s 1am and the dawn is on its way. Please ask your student or any of the students that have been here at Hume this year if they made any commitments to themselves or to God this week as further conversation will help keep the decisions fresh in their minds. See you all soon.
