Good Sex, Shorelines Sexual Purity class begins April 22nd
Remember the days when the youth ministry “Sex Talk” was simple and straightforward? Well, maybe it wasn’t that simple or straightforward, but today more than ever, the world our students are growing up in is saturated in sex. Everywhere they look (or listen) they can hear all kinds of messages about sexuality, and most of it is probably not helping them develop a healthy understanding of how their own sexuality fits into God’s plan for their lives.
The need for ongoing dialogue and learning about sexuality and how it connects with faith has never been greater. Trying to help students understand how their sexuality relates to God’s plan for their lives is a great challenge in a day when just about anything goes. Today, teenage sexuality includes things that might make some of us blush, like: • Hooking up • Oral sex (as a “safe” alternative to vaginal intercourse) • Friends-with-benefits • A greater social acceptability of gay and lesbian relationships and experimentation
In Good Sex : A Whole-Person Approach to Teenage Sexuality and God, we will provide tools to help students and their parents in understanding, enjoying, and taking responsibility for their sexuality—all without lecturing, intimidating, or moralizing.
This new and improved sexual purity class offer answer to our students, all of which are biblically based and include the latest in social science and sexual research among adolescents. When students combine this class together with the encouragement of their church family they will be able to face the tough sexual questions of today with real answers. We hope to have open honest dialogue, and help your teens see how their sexuality fits into God’s plan for their lives.

This Friday night we are having an all night event for the middle school students here at Shoreline. We will be playing games, mini golf, watching movies, and having crazy fun. This is going to be our biggest event of the winter here at Exit so you don’t want to miss out. See you this Friday night!
Where: Shoreline Youth Room ( we will leave site for mini golf and eats )
When: Friday Feb 20th @ 8pm ( don’t be late because we will leave for mini golf close to 8pm )
Cost: $10 dollars covers mini golf, food, praizes, and everything else.

The movie is a surprise but the line up for the evening isn’t. We will be watching the movie and playing games and eating food to follow along with all that happens in the movie. GAME NIGHT! September 19th 6pm – 9pm @ the youth room
Our game nights are one of the most exciting and crazy events of the year. If the game includes making a mess, throwing fish, smashing eggs, catching food, eating the unimaginable then it will more then likely make the list for our next game night. Thomas Ryan, one of the Middle School Interns, spends hours researching and putting together a line up of games that makes for endless excitement and laughter. The last game night has set the bar high as to where we will go next. This is the perfect setting for our students to introduce friends to the Shoreline. In the atmosphere of craziness and fun, bonds are built quickly and memories are made. This is a night that should not be missed and that we highly encourage students to bring as many friends as possible.
COSTUME MOVIE NIGHT OCT 24 6PM – 9PM @ the youth room
Movie nights are always a great time of getting together to enjoy great food and a fun movie. So when we add costumes into the mix the night is even better. Come out dressed as a super hero, alien, farmer, IRS agent, or pretty much anything you like. The pretty much anything means we like to keep things P.G. so nothing crazy scary, bloody, and please keep your costume modest. We end the evening with a costume contest so keep that in mind when you decide how to dress up. The contest includes prizes for best use of household items, most use of the EXIT logo, tallest hat, best smelling costume, costumed friends, and overall best costume. Make sure to come out and bring your friends. We are deciding on a movie soon so e-mail your suggestion to andrew@shorelinechurch.org.
