Take time to appreciate the wonders God has created for us!

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:

  • Monterey pines and Windsor Convalescent Visits, May 21st
We wanted to thank all or you for giving your time and heart to be with the residents last Saturday. Sharing the word of Jesus, listening to their stories and just loving on them, brings such joy into their lives. God has sent angels in the form of all of you!
  • CHOMP Blood Drive, May 22nd
To those of you that donated blood we want to THANK YOU. It can be a difficult thing to do and you all gave with your heart. God has blessed us with you and you have bless someone with your blood.

FOOD DONATIONS
“Thank you” to all of you who have donated food, we really appreciate it! You have helped feed over 400 people this month. If you can donate, our needs are: dried beans and rice (we are totally out of these), soup, canned vegetables, canned fruits, canned chicken, beef stew, canned tuna, pasta and pasta sauce.

WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEKEND:

  • I-Help, Friday May 27th & Saturday May 28th
Friday night we will be giving the men food, clothing, a place to sleep and of course sharing Jesus with them. Saturday we will be preparing them breakfast and a sack lunch to take with them. Please pray that in touching their lives we can help them to know Jesus Christ.

WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS MONTH:

  • Annual Backpack and School Supply Drive, Now thru June
Our backpack drive has begun and the need has increased. Every child deserves to go to school prepared to learn, so let’s do our part to make that happen. Please place your donated items in the barrels. Thank you to Lisa Pray who volunteered
to be the coordinator of this project. If you would like to help her out, please give us a call.

WHAT’S HAPPENING NEXT MONTH:

  • “Get on the Bus”, June 18th
We will be sponsoring a bus of children that will be going to Soledad Prison to visit their Dad’s for Father’s Day. It will be our responsibility to supply them with a “stay connected bag” with things in it such as disposable cameras, pens, boxes of note cards with envelopes, construction paper, boxes of crayons, postage stamps, etc. These things will be used to help the kids stay connected to their Dad’s by allowing them to send them letters, pictures, handmade cards and such. These children have a difficult life and we are so glad that God has given us the opportunity to give them some love.

Pick up your June 2011 calendar at the Community Outreach Booth to find out all that’s happening next month!

If you have any questions or would like more information about any of the above listed events, or any other Community Outreach activities, please stop by the Booth this Sunday , shoot us an email, or call us at the church.
