Men’s Ministry is led by the Men’s Team and new leaders have recently been installed on the Team. We are blessed to have Pete Lee as the Director of Men’s ministry, Abraham Wilson as Assistant Director, Bill Ragland as Recorder, and Dave Layus as Event Coordinator. Pastor Dennis will continue to provide liason and oversight.
Come say hi to any of these guys at the Shoreline Halloween Family Festival, Friday October 30th. We’ll be doing the cooking. Just like men, always around the food!

Many thanks to all the Shoreline Folks that came out on Saturday, January 31, 2009. Over 40 people showed up to wash all reachable windows, complete multiple jobs on the exterior of the campus, and gave the sanctuary a good cleaning. Our clothes pantry (now open for business) was cleaned and all clothes sorted according to size. A lot of work was accomplished and could not have been done without the hard efforts of so many. Thank you for your service to our Lord and our church. Take a look at a few photos of our day. REMEMBER: if you missed out on all the fun we have a Shoreline Clean-up Day the last Saturday of every month!

One of Community Outreach Ministry’s monthly projects is to house and fed the men from I-Help. This is a program of Shelter Outreach Plus. I-HELP (Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program) provides food and shelter for 20-25 homeless men every night of the week partnering with different churches in the area. The men arrive showered, sober and screened.
Shoreline Community Church hosts these men every 4th Friday of the month. The Men’s Ministry provides breakfast for the men. View some of our last I-Help pictures. To become involved in this ministry contact Debra Federico at dfederico@shorelinechurch.org or call 655-0100 x 312. We are also collecting a coat, jacket and sleeping bag drive for these homeless men through the end of February.

For January’s Serve Saturday, Shoreline’s Community Outreach Ministry and Men’s Ministry teamed up with Calvary Christian High School students, teachers and parents. About 35 workers went to Marshall Elementary School in Seaside to accomplish several tasks. They painted driveways, parking lots and playgrounds. They did maintenance work in the cafeteria area and also some landscaping. At the break, while enjoying some great snacks, they heard a presentation from Principal Wong, about what Calvary Christian High School is all about. Take a look at some of our pictures of the day: Serve Saturday with CCHS. Many thanks to all that made the day possible. With your help, alot was accomplished.

The women of Shoreline and friends gather on December 1st for a glorious Christmas dinner and will be served by none other than the Men of Men’s Ministries! Yes, we can do two things at once: walk and carry plates. Come and witness this remarkable event! (the Women’s dinner, not men doing two things at once).
If you’re guy and want to help out, call Shoreline at 655-0100 and ask for Karen Hughes.
Blessings to all and stay cool during the Holiday build-up!
