Youth v.s. Maturity

Youth loves excitement, maturity relishes experience. Excitement without experience can lead to recklessness; experience without excitement can lead to stodginess. The recklessness of youthful “faith” impatiently strains against maturity’s “wisdom,” while maturity shakes its head at youthful exuberance. We may be temtped to think, “never the two shall meet.” Paul thought otherwise. 1 Timothy 4:12.
