Where we GO

On November 6, 2011, in Global Outreach, by Becci

Global Outreach has established partnerships in these four areas:

  1. Door of Faith Orphanage (DOFO)-Baja, Mexico in the community of La Mision, half way between Rosarito and Ensenada. Our teams have been helping improve the facilities, ministering to the staff, children and others in the area.
  2. Compassion International, El Salvador. We are in the process of selecting Shoreline’s “partner” church in the C2C- church to church program, sponsoring 5 children in the area of the church and encouraging Shoreliners to both sponsor needy children and be part of trips down there to support our “partner church”.
  3. Community Transformation-Honduras. Just outside the city of La Ceiba is the extremely impoverished community of Las Delicias. Most families there live under a tin roof supported by sticks, the poverty is beyond belief. Shorelines teams will help construct the local church, a home for the pastor, and homes for the citizens in the community.
  4. Agra, India We are sending a team to teach Pastors in the region basic aspects of Christianity and Pastoring. These Pastors have little access to study, seminary or even the every day materials any one here has laying around the house. We will also be scouting other service opportunities for the church and area to assign to future Shoreline teams.
To learn more about any of these Global Outreach partnerships, including opportunities to service, please contact the Global Outreach Assistant. These partnerships have website links to your right and more information will also be available about upcoming trips and opportunities to serve right here on the Global Missions blog!

Missions update

On October 22, 2009, in Global Outreach, by Global Outreach

For all who gave to fill the container bound for the Ivory Coast we say blessing and thank you. It’s finally there! When sending goods in a container to Africa the perils and obstacles are incredible as we learned on our very steep learning curve. Our mission coordinator, Patience Ogele is now there and is taking pictures to send back showing how the container and it’s contents are being used in her husbands church. Patience will live there from here on out, having finished her time of study in the US. We are excited about the goals for Missions in 2010 and will keep you posted. In the works are: trips to Guatemala, Mexico, Mission classes and training, a grand fundraising event and more! If you’re interested in Missions contact Pastor Dennis or Coordinator Phil Choate.
