Thanks to everyone who made the Open Mic Night possible, it was super fun! All the performers did an excellent job and the new venue at the Hugo’s house was perfect. We will definitely be doing another event like this in the future, so be thinking about songs you could perform, poems you could read, or any other type of acts you can think of. Oriental and Origami Night
This Friday, on the 20th of May, we will be hosting an Oriental and Origami night. We will be having a make your own oriental soup bar and attempting to make beautiful creations with paper. There will be a prize for the greatest paper creation, so get ready to be creative. I think this will be a very fun time for us to just get together and try something new. If you have been thinking about inviting someone new, this would be the perfect event. All the food and paper will be provided, but feel free to bring special ingredients for your soup and also drinks to share. Can’t wait to see you all there!

If you weren’t at Oxygen the last couple weeks, we announced a great opportunity for us to help out our Outreach Ministry here at Shoreline. They are sponsoring a group of kids that will be participating in the “Get On the Bus” program which you can check out here http://www.getonthebus.us/.
Basically our church is providing the bus rental and a bag of things for each child as they get to go and visit their incarcerated parent. Many of these kids would never get to see either their mother or father for years if it weren’t for this program. The way that they have asked Oxygen attenders to help out is by bringing one or more of the following things:
Travel Games
Playing Cards
Word Search Book
Crossword Puzzle Book
Sudoku
We really need some more items soon, so please bring something. Honestly all it would take is stopping by the Dollar Tree and spending two or three dollars for a couple things. You can just bring them to Oxygen next Sunday and we will have a place to drop these items off. It would be amazing if everyone could contribute something. This is the last week that we will be accepting donations for it, so if you were thinking about it, please bring something in this Sunday. Thanks so much for all your support! We have already had some items dropped off but need many more!
