“Trusting in what you can’t see because of what you can see.” Our ANCHOR for the month of June is, FAITH. In Hebrews 11:1 it says, “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Download the Sunday supplemental materials here each Sunday after noon and find out what your kids are up to in The Cove. This week’s ‘Catch of the day’ is, ‘You can trust in a God you can’t see because you can see what He created.’

Community Outreach’s Annual Backpack and School Supply Drive is on! For the month of June, we will be collecting with the help of Lisa Pray Project Coordinator, new backpacks & school supplies for underprivileged children in Monterey County. Last year we were able to provide 500 filled backpacks. This year the need is greater (1800) and we’re praying that you can help! We need new backpacks and school supplies (see list below). Every child deserves to go to school prepared to learn, so let’s do our part to make that happen. Please drop off your donations in the bins at the booth or in the lobby.
Then, on July 9th, Pastor Andrew Manies is organizing a group of people who will be stuffing the backpacks with the donated supplies. We will meet in the Fellowship Center at Shoreline from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. (lunch will be provided). Come join us and be a part of finalizing this great service project!
If you would like to participate or have any more questions, please contact Debra Federico or call 831.655.0100, x312.
School Supplies Needed:
- Pens and #2 Pencils
- Safe Scissors
- 3 Ring Binder
- Loose Leaf Paper
- Colored Pencils and Crayons
- Composition Books

This Thursday (6/2/11) we will be hosting our freshmen welcome Crave! This is the first time our incoming freshmen are coming into high school group and we want to make them feel the love! We have a lot of great things planned and want to get them to get involved.
Crave is our midweek program and small groups. The first hour is spent hanging out with our leaders and peers. Sometimes we play a game, other times games just start on their own! The second hour is our focus; small groups. We desire that in the time in small groups students would learn, grow and be stretched in their understanding and relationship with Jesus.
