Need Fireworks? Help a local youth group!

On July 3, 2011, in Middle School - EXIT, Students, by Andrew

If your going to buy fireworks for this fourth of July please consider buying yours from the Pulse Youth Group of Monterey Bay Christian Center fireworks stand. The stand is a half block south of Broadway on Fremont Street in Seaside. The fireworks stand is their youths groups largest source of funding for the year and helps them reach the teens of Seaside for Christ. So if your a fireworks lover like my self then buy your fireworks from Pulse Youth Group knowing that the profits are helping a great ministry serving the Monterey area. When your there tell Pastor Abby that Pastor Andrew from Shoreline says, hi. Hope you all have a great 4th of July!

Every fireworks stand in Seaside is ran by a nonprofit group so know who your supporting.

99 Thoughts for Parents of Teenagers – Book Review

On March 17, 2011, in Middle School - EXIT, Students, by Andrew

I just finished reading thorough this book and found it to not only full of wisdom but also a very enjoyable read. Malt Mueller is an author that continually turns out incredible resources. I would highly recommend this to all parents of teens and preteens. Download a sample chapter at the bottom of this post or oder a copy of the book this sunday at the shoreline book store.

99 Thoughts for Parents of Teenagers: The Truth on Raising Teensagers From Parents Who Have Been There by Walt Mueller
If you’re the parent of a teenager, you need all the help you can get. How do you help your children make wise choices? How do you give your teenagers freedom to make their own choices while still providing a guiding hand? How do you invest your time and energy in ways that make an eternal difference in your children’s lives?

Walt Mueller delivers the goods in 99 Thoughts for Parents of Teenagers, a no-holds-barred look at the good, bad, and ugly aspects of parenting teenagers. Drawing on his experience as a parent of four children who have passed through their teenage years, Walt shares wisdom, thoughts, insights, and suggestions for making the teenage years count.

If you’re a parent, you’ll want to read, devour, and absorb the dynamic truths in this book. In this book you will gain insights on fulfilling God’s great call to raise children who pursue a Jesus-centered life.

If you ever have a book suggestion to share with other parents please contact Pastor Andrew with details. Were all in this together so make sure to share what you find!
